NAWMBA’s 12th Annual Women in Leadership Conference.

The Rice University Chapter of the National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) is pleased to announce that the 12th Annual Women in Leadership Conference will be held on:

Friday February 10, 2012. 8am – 3pm at McNair Hall on Rice University, Jones Graduate School of Business

Registration is only $40 and includes breakfast, lunch, and a champagne reception. Proceeds from the conference go towards scholarships for Rice MBA students. Attire is business casual. The first 100 people to register will be entered into a drawing for an Apple iPad.

As in years past, this event is aimed at educating, enlightening, and motivating MBA students and women from across various industries in the Houston area. The theme of this year’s conference is “Chart your Course: Developing a Long-term Career Strategy” and will feature speakers, discussion panels, and networking with other local businesswomen.

Our morning keynote speaker will be Martha Feeback of Catalyst, a premier nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding opportunities for women in business through research.  Ambassador Cynthia Shepard Perry, a former US ambassador to Sierra Leone and Burundi, will speak about her life and strategy to achieve her longtime career goal of becoming an ambassador.
